During the educational at our January 12 meeting, member Tom Windels pulled up fascinating nuggets from Jerry B. Jenkins book, Writing for the Soul: Instruction and Advice from an Extraordinary Writing Life. From each chapter, Tom did great job as he shared one or two helpful tips, whetting our appetites for more.
The particular bit of advice that started me thinking urged us to allow ourselves first to be moved and then write what moves us. It goes with the principle of writing what we’re passionate about. If it moves us, it will move our readers.
How about you? Which of Jerry’s tips caught your attention?
