Word & Pen Christian Writers Will Meet September 14

An educational on “18 Rules for Improving Your Writing” (a Write-To-Publish elective on CD by Dr. Dennis E. Hensley) will highlight the Monday, September 9 meeting of Word & Pen Christian Writers. We will gather in the hospitality room at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Menasha WI, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Visitors are welcome.

  • Kathi Bloy will offer a devotional to inspire us.
  • Beth Ziarnik will introduce the educational.
  • Diane Pulda will provide refreshments as well as open and close the meeting with prayer.

During “roundtable,” each writer will have an opportunity to share what he or she has done writing related since the last meeting, and read  a one-page selection of writing.

Chris S. suggests the following as a writing prompt, if needed: “Write something inspired by or based on the “funny papers”–cartoon or comic. Any genre, any length.”

If you plan to attend the meeting–and we hope you will–please respond to this post. It’s important to know “how many” as we prepare refreshments and handouts.

Laura and I planned to come. But I am hitting bottom financially, and Laura is in a tunnel that she can’t find her way out. I can’t get there and back on less than half a tank of gas. I pay my car ins. next month on cc. I am so sorry. Just won’t make it. I have a $0 balance in my ckbk now.
